Istanor VII - Betrayed Hopes

“I fear I am writing a requiem for myself”
Wolfgang A. Mozart - 791.M2.Holy-Terra.

OST - Mozart: Requiem K 626

Beyond the Green River
Segmentum Ultima.
Napoleork Realm.

The green river. The last frontier in segmentum ultima: at the border ot the star system of Istanor VII°. The green river, a figure of speech used in that system, a "virtual line" that traces the boundary that marks the end of the Imperium with the adjacent ork's kingdom of Napoleork.

unimaphires700

<< This empire has betrayed us. let cross the storm, A new, great Emperor wait us there, the true heir at the golden throne: The great Abaddon! >>
Abeldar. Last recorded message from the traitor fleet and imperial guard army commanded by Gen. Arkimbald Bosch. Vanished in the warp storm in the higher spheres of Abeldar. Aprox one million soldiers and one hundred ships of the fleet Vittoria, variously assorted, lost.

unimaphires700

The neverending night... is over. Shine the stars above Istanor. Millions of lives suppressed. Billion, mute, forgetful.

The rush of the orks invasion stopped by the death of the Liberator, whose news faster than light spread throughout the star system, creating a warp wave of immense reverb. The fleet and the armies of Napoleork stopped on their recent achievements. After the surrender of the traitor imperial forces, followed immediately at the fall of the Liberator, the Legio Cariosus and the black legion, in a few hours, evacuated from the planet fading with a jump in the warp. A month has passed since the end of the war, but only to say that "the war is over" is a very distorted view of reality. Two planets lost: Nebrask and FarWest, a Forgeworld and an Agriworld, fallen in the disruptive invasion of Napoleork. The evacuated population is heading on huge cargo ships to Istanor, to repopulate the planet. Omeros is finalizing the preparations for its siege, the war looms on it, while the Blood Axes army with auxiliary Imperial support forces is directing their fleet to destroy its entire traitor population and conquer, for the ork, his future world. The fleet of the Eldar, mysteriously as it appeared, in the few hours since the fall of the liberator, has vanished. Into the warp. Of them there are only vague shadows and illusory memories. The space wolves remained on the planet a few more days, but finally they sailed to Fenris, shortly before the Inquisition fleet made its entry into the star Sector over Istanor. A month has passed, and Istanor VII is still the last front line of human civilization in sector ultima, three planets lost, billions of people have fallen. Yet, King Minos III still reigns, loyal to the High Lords of TERRA, and the God Emperor, firms, still, heroic as his Hellenic ancestors, hammer and anvil against the green river of orks at his gates, closer. A bitter victory, written with tears and the memory of millions of heroes, but a great defeat for the Imperium, increasingly besieged.

highLORDOFtERRA_highlights

<< We are pleased to congratulate with all those who made possible this unexpected victory. Both, honour, proud and glory to the space wolves chapter, by name and in the name of Logan Grimnar, undisputed king of Fenris; to us more and more precious and faithful, and to all his heroes. But you must know this now, that if it is history to say that the space wolves thirteenth great company occurred at the Battle of Ivanor, say that led it Leman Russ is heresy. Both paid tribute to all the loyalist imperial forces, and those generals, that in the ability to take action have been faithful to our one and only one God Emperor. We are pleased, still, to announce that the controversy about the book, which caused this recent, brief, albeit unfortunate incident with the Alaitoc Craftworld, was amended. The Holy Inquisition, the kings of the Alaitoc, and us with them, we all came at last by mutual agreement in the destination of the book, where it will rest forever and ever, away from prying hands or false ambitions as a relic of the Golden Age. The safest place in the universe: the black library. The entire population of the planet Istanor, before you even ask, King of Fenris, will not be deported, but the presence of the Inquisition will be tripled and the purge unleashed without any useless merci. The planet will be repopulated with the exodus evacuees of the two lost planets. About the traitor forces of the Twelfth Army who took part in the offensive during the war, let be shot in advance all the officers to the third rank. This must be done too for the admirals of the conspiracy fleet Vittoria. As for the ten million soldiers indicted, personnel and equipment, together with the vessels assigned, are spared. They were under the influence of an evil magic, now broken. They are destined to face the Hive Fleet Leviathan, and replaced with an equivalent army that was there intended. They will have the opportunity to atone, victorious under the imperial eagle or devoured more likely by the threat xenos, their faults. That the planet Omeros suffers immediately the divine wrath. So we spoken. Hallowed be thy name. >>

OST - Motörhead - One More Fucking Time

<< And then, Sir General? We did it. We saved the skin and fuckin' world! But... what have we really saved? >>
<< Nothing! The book is lost, forever hidden. Nelson, my friend, in the great river of history we have to rescue what is precious to us, but in the uncertainty of a journey that is obscure. That is a difficult gesture, because never means keep it safe from becoming of time, but always in the becoming of time. Because, what you save, it will never be that we kept away from the days in forgotten and dark cavity, but what we have left to change, for become itself, in a new... time. ...What a shitty life! >>
Gen. Aristoteles Daikun.

In a soldiers-storage room of the space station Fistandante, an interstellar crossroads, a hub to reach other parts of the galaxy, in one of the thousands of immense halls a general and a commissar are fatally sitting one before the other. Exhausted. Their heavy eyes, as boulders, have difficulty in getting up from the ground. In silence, in the midst of dozens, hundreds of other soldiers. Two different destinies, now here at the crossroads. Gen. Aristoteles Daikun observes that soldier, quiet, young and yet old, aged to secure untold suffering. For him it's over, he returns home. For him, the war is over. He reads his name on the army plaque, and at the sound of the siren he stands up, followed by his retinue, to the warship that will lead him back to the front. A name, among many: Commissar Holt. For a moment their eyes meet, as their destinies, fatal, inexorable; written in blood and glory.

OST - Wing Commander Movie Soundtrack - Overture

It's said, still tells the legend, that the fleet Ophelia of Admiral Williamson came to the small planet Vārāṇasī Secundus, native country of Nalin Sampath, and the same Ophelia starcruiser bowed on his solemn tomb, erected in his hometown Verone.

OST - Bathory - One Rode To Asa Bay

<< One of the best fieldmarshal fallen into the chaos plots. Two worlds inexorably fallen into the hands of Napoleork, and the battle for Omeros is upon us. The entire conspiracy army of Gen. Bosch, with its fleet, swallowed in the warp. The capital Ivanor reduced to a pile of rubble, its people tortured by the Inquisition. Billion victims. How many losses have suffered the black legion? Two hundred? Three hundred marines fallen? And we dare to call this victory? Yet, today we have seen wondrous events, and unspeakable deeds that fade into legend. >>
Logan Grimnar. King of Fenris.

<< What is time? Only an ephemeral illusion of you poor mortals. The neverending night will return. Every night, before you blow out the candles, you'll raise your heads up, and you'll pray your false god in fear of fear. By forgetful time, the neverending night has already returned upon you. Since immemorial time, we have been back. >>
Nameless.

IN THE GRIM DARKNESS OF THE FAR FUTURE THERE IS ONLY WAR

"It is the 41st Millennium. For more than a hundred centuries the Emperor of Mankind has sat immobile on the Golden Throne of Earth. He is the master of mankind by the will of the gods and master of a million worlds by the might of his inexhaustible armies. He is a rotting carcass writhing invisibly with power from the Dark Age of Technology. He is the Carrion Lord of the vast Imperium of Man for whom a thousand souls are sacrificed every day so that he may never truly die.Yet even in his deathless state, the Emperor continues his eternal vigilance. Mighty battlefleets cross the daemon-infested miasma of the Warp, the only route between distant stars, their way lit by the Astronomican, the psychic manifestation of the Emperor's will. Vast armies give battle in His name on uncounted worlds. Greatest amongst his soldiers are the Adeptus Astartes, the Space Marines, bio-engineered super-warriors. Their comrades in arms are legion: the Imperial Guard and countless planetary defence forces, the ever-vigilant Inquisition and the tech-priests of the Adeptus Mechanicus to name only a few. But for all their multitudes, they are barely enough to hold off the ever-present threat to humanity from aliens, heretics, mutants -- and far, far worse. To be a man in such times is to be one amongst untold billions. It is to live in the cruelest and most bloody regime imaginable. These are the tales of those times. Forget the power of technology and science, for so much has been forgotten, never to be relearned. Forget the promise of progress and understanding, for in the grim dark future there is only war. There is no peace amongst the stars, only an eternity of carnage and slaughter, and the laughter of thirsting gods."
